Today was a big picture day.
I might be selling some doll stuff, so I took pictures of all the items, and got carried away taking pics of Yuuya and Neph lol.
My favorite of the whole shoot is a picture of Nephele that tahiel photoshopped for me :D

She tried three different shading/lighting, and I'm posting all three because they look really good ^^

I'm back from four days at my friends' in the country ^^

I had the loveliest time. We took pictures in a nice little park and more by a waterfall the next day.
So big picture post ^^

Suppi's pictures were taken by my friend lawy and edited by me.
Sylphe's wig fell into the water, hence a wet look ^^;;;

I tried face-up on my miho head and failed ^___^ But it was fun XD

BJD meet yesterday ^^
I took Yuuya to the biggest public park of my town.
I had a good time, especially since we had -some- sunshine between two showers lol

What the hell, weather! We're in mid July already D: Don't give us -hail-! O_O (big fat hail blocks, srly -__-).

I don't get tired of my Yuuya *coos and pets*. Sometimes I wish his face-up had more colors to it... but he's still my favorite bjd ^^

I'll be going at lawy's this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it ^^
I'll be trying face-up for the first time and we'll have fun and be silly :P

I'll soon be back to having a floating head at home.
After much debate, I decided to purchase a white skin Vampire Miho head (head on the two last pictures)

I've been wanting to incarnate Lazarus, Neph's sire, but I haven't had a love-at-first-sight mold for him and since he's quite a difficult character (cruel selfish possessive vampire lol), I put the idea aside.

When seeing the vamp. miho again though, I knew at once he would be perfect for the third vampire character I have in mind. He'll be Neph's acolyte, the other vampire sired by Lazarus. Younger than Nephele, but very clever and less passionate.
Neph is a Daeva (aesthete vampire) but I see this one more as a Ventrue (business aristocracy).

I'm still on the looks for a name for him.
My top choices so far are:

Farris
Myron
Icare
Lysandre

Other names I like:

August, Altair, Ares, Menelas, Leon, Enyo, Eos, Evariste, Eris, Prométhée, Alpha, Isaure, Neoma, Aries, Auriel, Leander, Morgan.

I'd love to stay in the Greek mythology theme... Don't care whether some of those are female, although I don't see him as an androgynous character like Neph.

I'm very excited about him ^^
Need to finish paying him of course lol since I bought him on layaway.
I'm not planning on giving him a body in quite a while. Of course it would have been simpler to get a normal skin as he could have shared with Neph, but nooooo I wanted a white skin.

I'm looking forward to trying face-ups on him, even though I ultimately mean to send him to Ladious, of whom I've wanted a face-up for a long time ^^

Mr. Vampy just washed away all my savings for my MNF Miyu *sigh*
But it was a good opportunity as those white skin heads are not usual on the market, and my poor MNF is not even on sale yet (I want small bust. Why take the easy way out when you make things more complicated for yourself?).

So yeah ^^
Here are my plans ^^
- Finish paying for that head and play with it XD
- Start saving again for Mokuren (MNF Miyu) and the tons of other things I should be saving for.

I'm off to the library ^^

Suppi's new WaWa Doll outfit was a good occasion to take pics of him :)
I'm getting happier and happier with him, which is such a relief because he was the doll I had the most trouble bounding with.
A change of wig and new clothes, and I already find him so much prettier XD
He just needs new eyes now. I got him a pair from Gumdrops (so have been waiting for a month for them already, and will wait two more lol), so we'll see how that goes.

K-Doll finally put up a notice on their upcoming sale and there will be no sale in June, which is disappointing because there was already no sale in April and I've been looking maybe possibly into buying a Karon or Kamyu head to try doing face-ups. But they're making a new head (Kael) that will be sold in July.

Tomorrow I'll have the results of the competitive exam I took.
I'm so damn anxious I'm near biting my nails lol. I'm praying I passed >.<
If I did, there'll still be the oral exam to pass. But the writing part is the first step. Wish me luck ;__;

"Lust" (BL / Some nudity)

I tried to take pictures of Yuuya and Nephele for the contest on my friend's forum.
The theme is "lust", hence the 'mature content' warning - even if my pics are not really erotic.

I wanted to bring in the notion of money to my pics...
My first idea was that of prostitution, but of the 'courtesan' type... Money and sensuality to depict this capital sin, rather than a type of sexual deviance.

Poor Yuuya is of course chosen to play the non-virtuous woman XD
Client is of course my sultry vampire Nephele lol (although I'd have used Kero for the hot SDF bod, but he's off to my friend Cycy for make-up).

My pics are pretty bad lol I had the hardest time taking the pictures because I wanted to do it in dim light... only my camera doesn't focus properly when it doesn't have enough light >.<
So tahiel offered to use her Photoshop magic on them :D
And I love the result <3

I took literally tons of pics of him. And I like half of them ^^;; But I'll try to spare you and only post the best :)

The reason behind this photo shoot, apart from the sun and my general 'doing nothing on May Day' principle, was this red Dollmore outfit I got for Sylphe.

I think he looks like a cute little clown in it.
tahiel 's words were... "what were you thinking?" XD She thinks it looks Harlequin like and generally ugly lol

Here comes the first post of a few big picture posts :)

Today was May 1st, and the French "Labor day". Nobody works, everything is closed and the public transports don't work.
So I took the time to take my dolls and camera, and try to snap a few pics.

It was a nice day too. Took some pics of Sylphe outside ^^
But first, some pictures of Spinel. I put some green glass eyes on him for a change.
Spinel is the bjd I have the most trouble handling so far. He has a very peculiar face and gaze, and not every camera angle gives a good result :'/

And gosh doesn't he look girly on those pics ^^;;
Mind you, he is my uke-boy. But he looks downright princess-y on this. Then again, it kinda fit what I have in mind for him...

I've decided to have "two" characters for both Kero and Spinel.
There will be a present time story, that of them having been given a human form by Sakura and Eriol, and there will be a past/ fantasy story with Spinel being a Chinese lord and Kero a samurai.

In this old/fantasy background, Spinel would be the nickname of Sun Shen-Yi, the son of a Chinese nobleman who gives shelter to a group of Japanese men on a diplomatic mission. And Kerberos is one of them.
He first meets Shen-Yi by hearing him play the guzheng on a quiet evening...

As he strolled the gardens on a moon-lit night, Kerberos heard the familiar sound of a guzheng.
The player was a master at his art, and the samurai felt his eyes close to enjoy the melody to its fullest.
It was airy yet filled with some sadness… or perhaps anxiety… anxiety for their futures and pasts.

The music stopped and the warrior felt his mind focus on his surroundings again, as if released from a charm.
He ran most soundlessly in the direction from which he had thought the sound had come, and thus stopped in front of an open window.
His heart thundered, more from the sight that met his eyes than from his race.

Never before had he laid eyes on such beauty in his life. The elegant long fingers, the soft curve of a heron-like neck, the arch of that small nose and a feline brow. The stranger felt his gaze and turned his gaze to him, startling with a little cry at the sight of the intruder, ethereal mint green eyes boring into Kerberos’ own golden orbs.
No sooner had Kerberos behold Lord Sun’s younger son, Shen-Yi, than his heart had chosen him as who would be dearest to him.

Since I'm on Chinese theme pictures... a Taiwanese friend showed us this puppet TV show when I was in Paris, but it took me a good month to find what the name was ^^;;

It's PiLi (or Pili shen zhou). It's really awesome, although since the same guy does all the voices, it gets a bit repetitive when you don't understand Chinese ^^;;

Today I finally got my package from Luts.
I won't go over customs fees and the like.

Tahiel's Yue is safely here (although of course Luts messed up and didn't send his wig), and so is Kero's body :D

I'm waiting for his wig, and he'll probably be soon off to make-up :)
My friend Cycy modded her Ryu head a bit, so I'm waiting to see how it looks to know if I ask for any modifications myself.
The color match with the body is a little off, but I don't really care. I love that body :P

More than the face-up, I want his wig to be here lol
I'm really glad he finally has his body. So glad <3

I officially do not have any floating head (since Sylphe's sleeping head doesn't count XD).
For now at least lol

BJDs among Roman ruins

Bad news first.
I got caught by customs for Kero's body.
I had the intuition this would happen. If Spinel did it, Kero would too -____-
Luts is absolutely pissing me off. I'm about sure this is because they didn't write their label properly, even though they had promised me they would.
Hopefully this will be figured out quickly, so that he can finally come home :(

To take my head off my urge to buy another EL head, I took Yuuya out at our Bjd meet yesterday.
The weather was gorgeous. We went to the Roman ruins of my town.
It's a really cool spot, and you get to see the whole of my town from there since it's uphill.
There are two Roman theatres, a small one and a big one (although one could be an odeon, I have no clue XD), like on this pic: - click-. There is a festival each summer taking place there, with theater plays, concerts, dances, movie projections and such. It's really cool to be sitting there, even though it's not as comfy as a concert hall lol
We were completely at the top of the big theater for our meet, among further ruins.

I got my dear tahiel 's package today :D
An awesome keychain with pics of Iaiel and Gravel on them, two books that are SD size for Suppi, and a pretty necklace for Sylphe :D

I took some pictures to show her, and ended up making a fluffy little photostory.
To put you back into the context: Sylphe is a wood fairy (without a wood for now lol). And Pan is Tahiel's cute... Pan? XD (CH Meoloo)

Dripping fluff ahead ^^;; Remember that Sylphe is a kid lol Don't ask too much of him (or me XD).

Back from Paris

My friend lawy and I spent the weekend in Paris for the doll convention "Paris Fashion Doll."
It was really cool, although the convention itself had more to do with barbies and various dolls than BJDs lol
But we got to meet a few people from Paris like we wanted (even if we didn't see as many as we expected, because we ended up having a drink with someone in particular and missed the last half of the salon. lol. ).

We arrived on Saturday and attended the Paris annual book festival. It was fun. Lots of books, obviously lol. There was a manga section with a karaoke crashed by nostalgic 30 year-olds XD
The main guest of the salon was Israel, which of course meant that we came across pro-Palestinian demonstrations in front of the gates. And we heard there was a false bomb-alert on the Sunday. Typical.
In the evening we ate with our friends at a Chinese restaurant. Our (main) Parisian friend, Lysel, who is Taiwanese, told us all about this puppet show on TV there, and it was really cool to watch it.

Then on Sunday, Fashion doll festival day.
We met someone who owns a SDF Blanchett, which was really cool since both Lawy and I are thinking of purchasing this doll one day.
We didn't buy much, although I did purchase a MSC bottle, just to say I have one in case I -ever- get around to do something to my dolls lol.
We spent all morning there, had lunch with some people, and then in the afternoon we met with Tiya, our new doll/Clamp/yaoi fan/student of English friend, who invited us at her place and who stayed with us till night.

Monday we met with my highschool friend Mugz, who is still as awesome as ever ^^
We ate sushis, saw Notre-Dame, and I bought my sister a tacky 'I love Paris' shirt (like she wanted -lol-).
Then we met Lysel again and the rest of our friends from my town and we assaulted Junku, a popular Japanese library in Paris, and the book-off store for some manga buying XD
We finished the trip by buying a nice box of English cookies, then back to the train station ^^

Oh, and because of my whining, Lawy and I travelled in first class on the train hehe.
Actually, first class tickets can be cheaper than regular tickets on the net if you buy them in advance. The only thing is you can not cancel/change them. So first class 8D

Do have a look at the topic about the salon in the French forum for more pics (since I don't want to post pics of other people's dolls except for Lawy's). There's a pic of my Yuuya with the Blanchett. Since I want her to make his girlfriend, I'd love to know if you think they go well together.

Yuu: ... wait... that probably means I need to watch out more often for my jugular. Crap.

And to celebrate for his new bod, Neph had some practice luring and biting innocent MNFs with Lully XD

And lastly, I also got Sylphe's new SOOM eyes (soft poison - 14mm).
What do you think?
I'm still getting used to them... He doesn't look as young and clueless like this... which I'm not sure is an improvement for the character lol.

Things are quite hectic at the moment Y_Y

I've given up for good on going abroad next year and I'm trying to find where I'm going with my studies.

I've applied to the Political Studies center of my town and I'll be taking the competitive exam on the 7th April. There are 30 free spots and I'm not sure how much of us have applied. Probably around 150-200, although I could be optimistic lol
I've applied for a masters in Asian affairs.
360° turn from my masters of English ^^;; Or, well... It's not like I had ever lost my interest in everything that has to do with Asia, but if I get in I'll be learning in the means of joining a company that has a partnership in Asia or Asian clients.
At least I think that's what it is about lol

I'm still not really sure I'll every get a job on the private market. It's very possible that if I get into this master I'll be trying out for the entry exams to state administration jobs in three years.

If I'm not in... back up plans for next year are the same entry exams to civil servant jobs, including those to be a librarian.

Or I'll end up back to the English department to prepare the teachers exam -___-

I was really depressed earlier. I talk to a friend who was not helpful at all in cheering me up ^^;;;
She said I shoud consider giving up on writing my dissertation because it was very unlikely I'd finish in time...
So I was really down -____-
I called another friend who said I shouldn't give up at all and I could still make it for September. Now this helped XD
I'll send an email to my research director for an appointment.
I need to see him anyway for a recommandation latter for the Political Studies thing.

lol, actually I need two letters. But the other teacher I asked one from said I could write it myself and she'd just add a few words D:
What the hell?

So yeah...
This week:

- Need to write recommandation letter + get a second one from research director
- Need to get appointment with research director
- Need to keep going for dissertation *pouts*
- Need to write motivation letter for application -__-

....

*sigh*

On the bright side I finally bought Neph's body from SOOM :)
I can't wait for them to ship it :) Really excited about that :3

Sylphe - Jungle trip

We had our monthly bjd meet in the big public park of my town yesterday.
It was great to take pictures outside :)
I brought Spinel and got Sylphe's open-eyed head back from my friend Cycy who did his make-up.
She did an awesome job :3 She didn't go into purples or violets like I wanted, but I think it turned out for the better since I wanted to give him some boyish features and not end up with a little girl.
She also did the tattoo perfectly on his cheek :3 It's the same design as on the forehead of his sleeping head.

My friend Hestia, who has the knack of posing bjds even though she's still saving for her first, made this little swing in a tree branch with some rope, twig and vines XD I'm not sure if she found it or if she made it, but she managed to pose Sylphe up there O.O
He was really stable too XDD
Really neat for pics >)
I'm not sure if his pose is more on the 'just woke-up and looking cute' side than 'I'm hugging the branch really close *nudge* *wink*' side XDDD Was trying for the cute side lol
But in any case, it made me so happy to put him in a tree XD He -is- a wood fairy lol (even if that comes closer to a Tarzan MNF remix *lmao*).

I need to find him proper clothes and eyes still ^^

My time at BabyNamesWorld is ending. For now.

BNW was bought by "ParentsConnect" (that is to say by Nickelodeon). They have disabled the forums, and the project of French website has been buried.
I'm not sure what my feelings are on the issue.
I think that I'm somehow relieved because I had so much on my mind I don't know how I would have coped with having to give a lot of my time to the website.
I'm just slightly irritated that the months I've spent translating their "Pregnancy Weekly" articles turned out to be useless since that will never be published.
It was a good experience though. I can put in my curriculum that I have a true paid translator's experience.
And BNW are still paying me for the rest of the translation that I didn't complete. So this experience is ending with me getting a reward for all the time I've spent with them.

I'll be watching what becomes of BNW in the hands of the new owners and offer my help to Anabel should she need me.
I think it's also a way for me to go back to what I liked at the very beginning of my joining the forum: being on the forum lol For the last year I had mostly spent time working on the database then translation, and I really lost track of what was happening on the forum.

I'm just a little scared for my dissertation since I was counting on BNW to do my surveys... But I guess I can still find other forums for that.

With the money I'm getting from this, I'll be buying a body for Nephele because he deserves it after being a floating head for 6 months ^^;; and I'll be saving to travel, possibly to visit tahiel in Argentina.

A lot of things are happening at the same time.
My exams are on the 25th and I'm really behind on my revisions.
And I need to get my head into looking at the different options for next year and preparing the applications for the Political Studies Center where I'm considering pursuing my studies.

And also, my cousin just won on the radio one week for 4 in a ski resort using my name.
LOLz.
He called me to ask if he could use my name, and I said yes, then called back to say he won XD
So I will be getting flowers and the papers to fill in, of course giving him my prize lol.
I don't mind though. It'll be good for his kids to see some snow.
Take notes on the way to do it lol He always manages to win stuff by calling the radio stations every day when there's a game, using different names from his friends or family each time.
Too bad I can't be bothered calling my friends beforehand then the radio everyday. I could win too XD

Drama resolved

All drama with Luts is resolved for now :)
They were much nicer to me than to a friend who had had the same problem (credit card charged but no order recorded).
They used the money of that first missed order to pay for the second order I placed.
So all is fine and Tahiel and I are officially waiting on a Cian.

Now think of what character you'd rather want him to be, Tahiel XDDD
I'm saying Hawk because you were just not convinced for Yue ;)

Yesterday was quite stressful. Tahiel and I were all excited about ordering SDF Cian, and when I tried to make the payment, if wouldn't go through. I probably did what you should never do... aka, insist lol
So Luts' website fucked up, as it often does with European CC, and they cashed my money without taking my order into account.
Everything should work out once I have them see that they have money from me and no order for it. It's the Lunar Holiday for them now, so nothing will happen until they get back on Monday, which should be about the time my money shows up on their account.

The only thing that scares me is the availability of SDF Cian which is a limited doll with only 6 of them left...
Because according to the experience of one French girl who had a similar problem, Luts won't use that money to give me what I want -___- They'll reimburse me and ask me to complete another order. That's probably due to their computer system or sth. Well, their software sucks. I'll be -extremely- upset if we miss Cian after all the efforts Tahiel did to send the money to me for his head, and all the excitement of finally getting him.

And on another subject, Clamp pisses me off big time.

Yeah alright, Tomoyo is so cool and she got Kuro his daddy's sword back and she gave him a new name, and he swore his allegiance to her again, and there's no way he won't end up to Nihon at her side again, blah blah.

Fine. Just wish it wouldn't give an outburst of 'KuroxTomo canonness 4ever'.
I don't blame the fans of the pairing. I'd probably be as excited if it was my pairing. But it's not lol
So really, if I keep my idea that Kuro deeply cares for Tomoyo and loves her in a platonic thought of way, this chapter was just that:

- reaffirm what's going to happen to Kuro in the rest of the manga: he'll be victorious and come back to Nihon without dying
- give him his sword back
- make him all mature and cool, pointing out the evolution of the character with the new name.

I'm sure no one's memory fails to remember that Fye is still a vampire and he still feeds off Kuro...
So it's a bit early to push him out of the picture with a truck of dripping KuroxTomo love.

This chapter really scares me for Fye's future though...
We know "for sure" (or everything seems to point to the fact) that Kuro will live, but we don't know about Fye.
Solution 1) He lives, gets an eye back = isn't a vampire anymore, goes with Kuro to Nihon. And to half-quote Tahiel, he can have a threesome there with Tomoyo and Kurogane for all I care, as long as he -lives- with his Kuro XD
Solution 2) Fye dies. LOL. And if he dies it had better be in Kurogane's arms with the ninja hugging his body to himself è_é
Solution 3) He lives, gets his eyes back, goes with Shaolan and Sakura. Solution 3 is boring. Very boring. But it leaves an 'opening' to rpgs and doujinshis on Fye traveling again to find his Kuro Y_Y
Solution 4) Clamp surprises us? lol Fye stays a vampire and feeds off Kuro all his life ^,_,^ ? (my fav lol). Fye lives with Yuuko and tends to her shop? He goes to a different world where he meets all his friends in their forms of that dimension *blah blah*

So yeah...

My MNF was shipped!

After exactly a month.
I'm so glad. The wait was becoming really long.

Now I have to hope that Luts didn't scribble over the price tag like last time, and that I won't be getting another customs 'fine'.
And that they didn't mess up with my order since they seemed to have been quite... busy lol

Kyah, he -should- come home in some 5 days now :3 I can't wait.

Still wondering what his name will be...
I have Sylphe, Alix and Merry in mind...

Then again, the little Tan doll wasn't planned, and I wanted a White Skin named Dune.
I might name him Dune after all, because I don't know if I'll ever have that WS... Hn... *ponders* Or not. lol I don't want him to have the personality that I have in mind for Dune...

Oh well. We'll see when he gets there.
I'm quite excited about the Juri head too since he's supposed to be one of my characters :3 Lazarus, Nephele's sire.
And lol at my French friends. I already had enquiries on whether I would make a threesome with my vampies and Yuuya hahaha
